My name is Jovanka. I am an author, Clinical Herbalist, and wellness expert. Years ago, my body was in a state of chaos. It was through the transformational guidance of herbalists, coaches, and educators that I began reclaiming many of the ancient wellness practices we now hold dear. Through intentional dietary changes, the embrace of herbal medicine, and the integration of mindfulness practices, I was able to gradually heal and reclaim my natural state of balance and wellness.
What began as a deeply personal journey soon became my life’s passion. Today, I stand before you with more than a decade of lived experience, combined with professional training from some of the leading voices in herbal medicine, nutrition, and mind-body wellness.
My goal is to help readers reclaim these time-honored, science-supported wellness practices and make them practical and accessible for everyone, no matter their age, gender, ethnicity, income, or social status.
Who Is This Space For?
Reclaiming Wellness speaks to everyone, with particular attention to communities of color who disproportionately struggle with preventable diseases. Through articles and musings, I offer practical, affordable (and fun) ways to incorporate whole foods, supplementations and herbs into daily life, even for those with the most demanding schedules.
I also share simple, approachable practices around movement and mindfulness, helping readers transform them into meaningful tools they can use every day. Along the way, I encourage reconnecting with the healing power of nature, music, and community as pathways to restoration, connection, and lasting well-being.
